I. Face the fact that Christians will encounter trials; commit to respond in a godly way (v. 2). II. Trust that your God has a good reason for your particular trials (v. 3). III. Relying on God's grace in Christ, persevere through trials (v. 4). IV. To do so, seek God for his wisdom (vv. 5–8).
