On the first day of creation God does something essential, he overcomes the first obstacle to life which is darkness.   Many of us have painted a picture in our head of what this process would've looked like, we read the words "let there be light" and may assume many things from that statement alone.  The real question is, what exactly is being created on Day 1?  Is it light itself, or is something else being created altogether?  Let us find out!
