Let Us Draw Near (Heb 10)
Episode Description / Show Summary
Hebrews 10 explains how Jesus fulfills the Old Testament sacrificial system. The law was not bad, but it was a shadow. It pointed forward to something greater that could actually deal with sin once and for all.
In this episode, we see Jesus as both the perfect sacrifice and the perfect high priest. His work is finished, and because of that, we have confidence to draw near to God. The passage ends with five clear responses that shape how we live now: drawing near, holding fast to hope, encouraging one another, doing good works, and living in light of Christ’s return.
