The account from Matthew 15:21-28 of the gentile woman who approached Jesus asking for Him to deliver her daughter from demonic possession is an amazing story we can all learn from. At first rebuffed by Jesus as a "dog", she persisted saying, "Even dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master's table." Jesus' response to her shameless audacity was to commend her faith and heal her daughter immediately. For those who are hungry for God, crumbs are enough. Simeon was an old man who hung out in the temple each day waiting for God's salvation. And once he held the infant Jesus in his arms, his life was complete. Ruth, a shining example of Old Testament loyalty, is another example of being satisfied with as much of God as she could get, even if it was a little.
