Julie Vera is a mom of two and the host of the Mom Walk Collective, a free space for mamas to walk, get to know each other and walk together. She has started a consulting business where she helps moms who need some operational efficiencies in their own businesses. She wants moms to set up a path for success by helping people on the operational backend. The Mom Walk Collective was created in California and now in 400 cities globally!! Julie became a mom right before turning 30 and pretty much knew she always wanted 2 kiddos and now her family is complete with one girl and one boy. After 8 miscarriages, she finally had 2 healthy pregnancies. WIth many complications, she is happy to say her family is complete. She advocates for mamas with pregnancy complications because she has been there. She believes in giving women a sounding board about their feelings, especially on grief after a loss. DO NOT say, "well, at least you can get pregnant" after a loss. Her biggest challenge has been the pressure we put on ourselves as moms. The comparison we put on ourselves is ridiculous. Having a supportive husband has been the best partnership she could imagine. She is blessed to compliment her husband's parenting style with hers. The times are when she sees her kiddos happy. Seeing their joy makes for a great mama! Her struggle is being hard on herself and the expectations she has on herself. She wishes she would have known that it's ok to take care of herself and prioritize her own self care. Having a brand new human who needs you 24/7, you feel terrible leaving them BUT your soul needs that. Feed your soul in whatever way that looks. You can find Julie on instagram @JulieRVera or on her website at rootedconsultingllc.com or the mom walk collective on Instagram @themomwalkco.littleton
