Meet my grandfather. A 97-year-old veteran who was willing to die for our country, and now the systematic failures of Canada’s healthcare system are rushing him to his deathbed. This message is for: Minister of Health, Adrian Dix Board Chair for Fraser Health Authority, Jim Sinclair Parliamentary Secretary, Mable Elmore Deputy Minister, Stephen Brown President & CEO of Fraser Health Authority, Dr. Victoria Lee There is an alarming lack of basic treatment, from inaccessible showers to non-existent rehab, and the system that is supposed to be helping him recover from COVID-19 seems to be the very thing holding him back from recovery. This man who fought for us needs us to fight for him and help regain his dignity. I know his story isn’t the only one of its kind and we shouldn’t accept this.
