1. Pray that God will make you a persistent and humble daily Bible reader.

2. Set a regular time to read the Bible.

3. Set a place for regular study, one that keeps distractions to a minimum.

4. Move towards seeing daily Bible reading as an escape to be enjoyed, rather than a chore to be rushed through to completion.

5. Use a translation that is both understandable and reliable.

6. Keep a journal of how much you read daily, interesting details you come across, questions that are raised, and any prayers prompted from your reading.

7. Finally, don’t be afraid to ask someone to explain a passage you find difficult to understand.
