Brave the BRRR is the new free Winter Festival featuring this year’s Bartz Brothers Sea Creature Snow Sculpture.  This weekend visit Brightwood Hills Golf Course from 8-5 with all kinds of activities including contests, food trucks, a market, a gnome hunt and of course this year’s snow sculpture.  Make sure you dress for the weather including footwear that works for packed snow trails. 

This weekend the Winter Carnival Kicks Off!  The Biggest Event not to miss this weekend is the Ice Carving Competition.  The sculpting takes place Thursday night- Saturday night with judging at 7 pm on Saturday.  The sculptures are in Rice Park, St. Paul.  This event is FREE.  If you check this out, make sure you take a stroll into the Landmark Center and the St. Paul Central LIbrary to warm up and enjoy the beautiful buildings. 

On Saturday from Noon-4, check out the Annual Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival.  This is a free event on Lake Harriet.  Come see all the colorful kites in the sky.  Try your hand at ice fcishing, snowshoeing, and roasting a marshmallow.
