In this episode of Let's Go, Pastor Jared looks back on Sunday's message from Pastor Brandon Sloan about having a zeal for Jesus. The Church in Ephesus seemed to be like a church doing a pretty good job but they had lost their first love as revealed in the letter to them in Revelation. Similarly looking at the Parable of the 10 Virgins in Matthew, we can ask ourselves how many of us are just trimming our wicks in church and asking others for oil to light our lamps. Ultimately, we are all individually responsible for preparing ourselves for the coming of Jesus. Do we have a longing desire to come and dine with Jesus? In looking to the older son in the story of the prodigal son, are we a lot like the older son than we would like to admit? You are never too far gone because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. How are you preparing yourself for Jesus? Listen to this episode of Let's Go as we discuss why it's important to have a zeal for Jesus.
