In Paris, the 2018 UC graduate will compete in the hammer throw qualifying round on Aug. 4 with the finals set for Aug. 6.

Bischel talks about his playing career and coaching path that ultimately led him to the Bearcats where he led one of the country’s most impressive turnarounds in 2024. Cincinnati was picked to finish last in the Big 12 last spring, but finished fifth in Bischel’s debut season. Harrison, a Cincinnati native, describes his path to UC and his favorite moments with the Bearcats and in MLB, including his debut with the Pirates, his first all-star game and playing nearly every position in baseball.
