Happy Valentine's Day!

Making the decision to divorce wasn't easy--the biggest reason being my daughters. I knew it would devastate them. But I have held tight to my belief that by getting a divorce, I would then be able to show up as the woman and MOTHER that I wanted to be. I have always hoped that one day my girls would be able to see that.

Your last name is JUST a name. Right?

I recently got asked why I had gotten divorced... and this person wasn't looking for the generic "we grew apart" answer that I often give. They wanted the DETAILS. Sorry to say, those little details won't be shared on a platform like this--at least right now. But, I WILL share the two big reasons why I (capital letter!) felt divorce was right and what I've had to learn and work on over the last couple of years.

I took my microphone on a recent work trip in case I was hit with some inspiration... it turned out to be a really great decision--despite adding some extra weight to my luggage.

The hardest part of divorce for me, is when my girls are gone for an extended period of time on vacation. It's still not something that I'm used to, but I'm getting there.

A funny thing about divorce and sharing custody with your children, is that you suddenly have "free" time. This wasn't something I had ever really experienced, and it's taken me some time to figure it out! LOL
