WHERE DO WE GO TO LEARN ABOUT JESUS?
1. GOD’S PEOPLE: The story of Jesus is stewarded by a community
"…God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth." -The Apostle Paul (1 Timothy 3:15)
God partners with people to manifest His will and His way.
"…you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizenswith God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit." -The Apostle Paul (Ephesians 2:19-22)
2. GOD’S BOOK: God inspired His community of people to document their knowledge and then return to that documented knowledge to keep them on track.
- The Bible is one more way we can experience the community that stewarded the story of God.
- We are not say that God wrote the Book and then it descended down from Heaven.
- We are saying that God inspired his community of people to document their knowledge and then return to that documented knowledge to keep them on track.
¿A DÓNDE VAMOS PARA APRENDER SOBRE JESÚS?
1. PUEBLO DE DIOS: La historia de Jesús es administrada por una comunidad
"... la casa de Dios, que es la iglesia del Dios viviente, columna y fundamento de la verdad". -El apóstol Pablo (1 Timoteo 3:15)
Dios se asocia con la gente para manifestar Su voluntad y Su camino.
"... ustedes ya no son extranjeros y extraños, sino conciudadanos del pueblo de Dios y también miembros de su casa, edificados sobre el fundamento de los apóstoles y profetas, con Cristo Jesús mismo como la principal piedra del ángulo. En él todo el edificio está unido y unido se levanta para convertirse en un templo santo en el Señor. Y en él también ustedes son edificados juntos para llegar a ser una morada en la que Dios vive por su Espíritu ". -El apóstol Pablo (Efesios 2: 19-22)
2. EL LIBRO DE DIOS: Dios inspiró a su comunidad de personas a documentar su conocimiento y luego regresar a ese conocimiento documentado para mantenerlos encaminados.
- La Biblia es una forma más en la que podemos experimentar la comunidad que administró la historia de Dios.
- No decimos que Dios escribió el Libro y luego descendió del Cielo.
- Estamos diciendo que Dios inspiró a su comunidad de personas a documentar su conocimiento y luego regresar a ese conocimiento documentado para mantenerlos encaminados.
