Lets Talk About Climate

Climate change, rising costs, shrinking access to land, and a farming workforce whose average age is near retirement are all reshaping how we grow and get our food. So what should the future of our food system look like, and who gets a say in building it?

In celebration of Climate Week NYC, we hosted Derek Gali Martinez, National Climate Fellow at Change the Chamber and founder of the Institute for Regenerative Farming and Food Systems, for a conversation on food justice and the future of agriculture. Derek has worked in agriculture since he was eight years old, and his family farmed for 27 generations.

We cover what food insecurity really looks like day to day, why healthy food is out of reach for so many communities, and how regenerative farming, hydroponics, urban agriculture, ag tech, seed saving, and local food systems can help.
