Acts 9:1-19 speaks of Saul being converted on the Damascus road on his way to murder the disciples of the Lord.  He was changed.  While I had always thought I was saved, I was angry with GOD because He took my father from me when I was a child.  Evenso, I was comforted with the idea that I would see my dad again.  Years later, I was stricken with a "foot disease" and in order to get treatment I had to travel several miles every week on the highway.

On one of these travels I was thinking of my dad and saying to myself, "I will see him again when I get to heaven."  Suddenly I heard a voice that asked me what made me think I would see my dad again? lt was then I realized that I was not saved and if I died I would not see my father again. In that instance I realized that I wasn't saved and the only thing I could do then was pull off the road and cry.
