•Cody Malek Mazie is a Chicago-based educator, choir director, and visionary with a lifelong immersion in music. His journey began at age five at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, where he directed his first song, "Shabach," alongside his children’s choir director, Sis. Olivia Young.•A founding member of Deitrick Haddon’s LXW Chicago, Cody has served in leadership roles within Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Greater Harvest Missionary Baptist Church, and as director of the Rise Up Youth Organization Chorale.
His musicality was further refined through extensive coursework in music theory and his tenure with the Grammy-nominated Winston-Salem State University Choir (the "Singing Rams") under the direction of Maestra D'Walla Simmons-Burke. Having shared the stage with legends such as Fred Hammond and Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Cody is currently the founder and artistic director of a sacred music collective and community impact organization launching Fall 2026, dedicated to sharing God’s love through high-caliber choral performance and community service.
