Look, this work of growing up to be a nice human is hard work and we spend ALOT of time scurrying around the top of the iceberg, unconscious and unaware of what lurks beneath the waterline. Here's what it means to go beneath the waterline & maximize your self-awareness:
1. Discomfort--Discomfort is growth WANTING to happen. But yes, it's risky and vulnerable. ALL part of the healing process.
2. Self-Examination--when look inward, it feels really hard. It's SO easy to examine others, right? But when it comes to seeing ourselves as we actually are--OUCH. But I promise you won't die--you'll be more AWARE. And that is empowering.
3. Support--as I always say, humans are designed to connect. It's in our genetics to desire connection with another human. Leveraging this, along with a strong sense of self, is an integral part of your growth. When we feel connected, we feel good. It's just facts.
