Black fathers have been characterized negatively within the media and society. Despite media portrayal, there are a number of black fathers who are actively involved in their child's life. I lost my father in 2001, which was extremely difficult. Every major milestone in my life, I always think about him. It is important to understand the importance of black fathers. Today we sit down with Mr. Charles Odom and his son Ifeanyi to discuss their thoughts on how the media portrays black fathers, being an active father, and how they are working together to change the living conditions for senior citizens.
