A bill has been introduced to Federal Parliament to establish a statutory body with powers to advocate in the best interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.  Karen Dorante speaks to the National Commissioner for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children and Young People, Sue-Ann Hunter who describes what the powers and functions of the new commission will be once the legislation is enacted.
