Welcome to the 2nd Volume of our advice column series: Let's Unpack That where we read your anonymous submissions of situations you're in, problems you're having, or advice you need and unpack it together like you're on FaceTime with your best friend talking about it in real time. We want to be your shoulder to cry on, warm hug, and ear to listen while providing you with the pep talk, tough love, and self love reminders to help get you through whatever it is you're going through.
Through this series we will open up about how we can relate to different submissions, how we might have managed it ourselves if we've caught ourselves in the same situations, or unpack what we would do in these situations. We'll help you unpack why you might be thinking this way and challenge your thought processes, biases, inner child tendencies, or traumas that might also play a hand in your dilemmas.
VOLUME 2
In volume 2 of Let's Unpack That, we talk more about how to keep in contact and stay close with the friends you make in college because once you leave, it can be pretty hard to maintain those social friendships - especially if you're long distance (like we are!). Marissa can also relate to being a serial dater and shares some experiences and advice for how you can stop being one (even though there's nothing wrong with it!). We also tackle the ever so popular "I feel like a different person when I'm in a relationship" because that one is a doozy. The tough love scenario of this episode comes when someone asked "I love my partner but sometimes I think 'is this really who I want to be with?'" + MORE!
