Abby Vail just plain rocks. Her book, Writhe, is a masterpiece of quiet horror and dread, drenched in atmosphere and a piercing understanding of emotional trauma. Her band, Safe Sermon, has released two songs that we can't stop listening to, and she is just an all around great guest.

Writhe, releasing October 28th from Sobelo books, is going to take a lot of people by surprise and is one of our favorite novellas of the year.
