Hebrews 12:14-15

You can’t control what people do, but you can control how you respond.

I. Bitterness has a dangerous root.

II. Bitterness produces a poisonous fruit.

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

III. Kill bitterness with compassion.

Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

IV. Kill bitterness with forgiveness.
