Letting go of old habits and negative thought patterns is hard. Breaking the cycle of addiction is (probably) even harder.

This week we talk to the inspiring Patsy Berridge who did both and is using her new life to empower others do the same.

Patsy takes us on a journey of growth when she shares with us the details of her childhood and how negative thought patterns coupled with an addiction to alcohol led her down a path of darkness and how she was able to rise above it all.

She bravely shares with us how the death of her brother sent her spiraling deeper into addiction, hoping to drown her pain. For years she found herself traveling down a path towards self distraction until the day she made the powerful decision to cut ties with the drink and take control of her future.

We learn how Patsy was able to tap into her inner-self and gain control of her life through positive reinforcements from her husband and the power that was already inside her. We learn sobriety looks different for everyone and she shares tips on how we can regain control of our physical, mental and emotional-self through easy, consistent practices. How having a realistic, positive approach to life and all it has to offer us is all the ingredients we need to grow our most beautiful, successful and powerful existence.

She’s promoting freedom through emotions and encouraging us to not sit in our traumas but to learn from them, accept them and grow from them.
