Philippians 2:3-4

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

When letting your focus be your future you must know that you're now holding your future. That means that everything that you do and focus on holds your future and you're not the only one who is in charge of what you do that becomes your future it’s not all about you.
