Tribe Mastermind

Leveling Up

Listen Later

Welcome to Tribe Mastermind with Jordan and Steve. In this episode, Jordan and Steve discuss the Tribe Mastermind Retreat they went to in Denver. They talk about looking at competitor’s numbers and seeing the reality of your numbers against theirs and how motivating that can be.

Steve speaks about Darren Hardy’s High-Performance Forum that he attended and some of the key things he learned. Like business is 10% of what you do and marketing is 90 %, and the three keys to success are an expert council, the reference group, and strategies and systems. Although what was being presented wasn’t new, it was presented in a way that made him take notice.

With the exponential change, good equals dead in business, great equals survival, and excellent equals thrive. Being great in business means you don’t blame the customer, blame yourself and be fully accountable for improvement, and having empathy for your customers is critical.

They discuss being aware that you don’t always make the best right decision. There is someone more competent that can make a different right decision, and having a team behind you that understands that is imperative. You can’t always hire the A-players, but you can hire the best that you can find. The team that got you where you are won’t be the team that keeps you there.

This conversation is about learning from others, taking what you learn, and talking it out with your peers. There is always something to learn with Jordan and Steve, and you won’t want to miss any of it. So sit back, relax, plugin, and get ready to be schooled.
