Planting technologies coupled with geospatial data analyses and on-farm research can provide producers with an opportunity to improve their operations’ productivity. Joe Luck, Ph.D., an associate professor and precision agriculture engineer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, discusses variable-rate seeding and multi-variety planter applications in soybean production and provides examples of how to apply geospatial analyses to inform future potential technology investments.
