* When God called Abe he had to move out of his home and into a tent.

* When God called the Israelites out of Egypt they had to do the same.

* When they got into the Promised Land they went from tents to houses.

* But God wanted them to keep their “tent” mindset.

* Peter in 1 Peter 2:11 states the reason why this mindset is so good:

* Seeing ourselves as sojourners (this world is not our home) helps us abstain from the lusts of the flesh.

* Houses represent bondage / Tents represent freedom.

* You can experience freedom while living in a house if you have a “tent” mindset.

* It’s not “your” house!

* Isn’t it interesting that one of the main writers of the New Testament was a “tent maker!”
