We continue our study through the Book of Leviticus with chapter 3 and a close look at the peace offering. We read the full chapter together and talk about why the offerings open with the burnt offering the meat offering and the peace offering before the sin and trespass offerings come up later. The conversation covers the voluntary thanksgiving side of it as recognizing peace already made with God. The priests role in sprinkling the blood and taking their portions the specific inwards kidneys fat and caul that get burned on the altar the rule against eating fat or blood and some natural ties that came up to New Testament thoughts on Christ and fellowship with God.
