Studying individual key words is part of the interpretative process. Words have a semantic range that determines the possible uses of a word, but context determines which use the author is employing at that moment. Word studies can be helpful or harmful depending upon how they are conducted. This lecture concluded with a diagrammatical analysis of Ephesians 4:28-30.
