Scott Galvin is the Executive Director of Safe Schools South Florida, a non-profit focusing on providing safe space for LGBTQ youth. He is also a member of the North Miami City Council.

First elected in 1999, Galvin is one of the longest-serving openly LGBTQ legislators in the state of Florida.  

HIV awareness is an important cause for Scott so he serves on the board of directors for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, a global nonprofit organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to more than 2 million people in over 40 countries. 

Galvin volunteers with the Florida LGBTQ Democratic Caucus to network other openly gay elected officials from Tallahassee to Orlando to Key West.
