The pump’s canister can eject forcefully from the base when pressurized leading to impact injuries to the user or bystanders. This recall applies to both the analog and digital gauge versions with a bleed valve on the front of the base.
About 7,500 pumps were sold in the US and an additional 680 pumps sold in Canada at bicycle stores including Art’s Cyclery, Incycle, Bike Bling, Sports Basement, and Over the Edge Sports as well as online at ride.lezyne.com, Jensonusa.com, Backcountry.com, and Velotech.com between May 2016 and December 2021.
