Be truthful and honest. Just because you think a lie will get you out of trouble, it doesn't mean you should lie. Take responsibility when something happens. There are consequences to telling a lie, yet the consequences can be less severe if you are honest. Accidents are going to happen. You are going to meet people you don't like. There will be times when you think lying is the best option. These should be rare instances. If someone is going to be put in harms way, or a friend is dating someone you don't like, then be up front, even if it means you might lose the friend. In a job, dishonesty could cause you to lose the position. Being honest may also cause the same outcome, but your conscience will be clear. Thank you for listening.
