Members Reviews:
A Bit Ridiculous
When it comes to satire, there is a fine line funny and offensive. There is also a difference between insightful and absurd. I don't think this novella crossed the first line (unless one is seriously humor challenged) but may have crossed the second. Of course, it was making fun of stereotypes, but it went a bit too far in some cases (a closeted gay teenager who wears a tutu)? The book has "cameos" by Sean Hannity and Jon Stewart, I don't want to give a spoiler, but they didn't seem true. Even if the scene was meant to be metaphorical for the debate in this country today, Keith Olbermann would have been more believable "opponent" for Sean Hannity. I didn't really laugh out loud reading this. At different parts I did nod (oh, that's so true about them) or wince (oh, maybe that's true about us or is that how they see us?). It also reminds us that distinctions of Liberal vs. Conservative may not be as important as they sometimes seem. The book is free from the formatting and technical issues sometimes found in low cost e-books.
too stereotypical
Way too much stereotyping going on. Very hard to follow the way it was written. Terrible book and I wouls not recommend it.
Laugh Riot
If enjoy politics, read this book!
It is insightful and witty.
Very enjoyable read. Take a look, you won't be sorry.
this is satire
That said. It is heavy handed and exaggerated satire but has some funny moments. Every liberaland conservative cliche is exploited.
Huh?
I never ordered this product and have no clue why I can rate this.
