For some people, church is only meant to be a place one goes to worship. Caring for the least of these becomes a suggestion more than a mandate. For others, it's hard to understand how the Church can be a space that ignores liberation when it claims to follow a man who said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me and has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the captives and recovery of sight for the blind, to let the oppressed go free."
