In paragraph 30 we review Leo's coverage of "liberty of conscience." We discuss the proper Catholic understanding of this idea and the importance of a well-formed conscience. This leads to a brief discussion on modernism. The "synthesis of all errors" is the culmination of many issues we have discussed thus far in the series.
