Episode 153 (10 Sep 2021): Lieke Schreel (https://www.linkedin.com/in/liekeschreel) is a medievalist turned educational scientist. She is a pioneer who likes to build new organisations with a huge passion for education. After five years teaching Dutch and Medieval Dutch Literature at Trinity College Dublin, she joined University College Utrecht in 2000. At this first Liberal Arts & Sciences college in the Netherlands, she combined tasks in teaching, administration and student support. In 2009 she helped set up Leiden University College, with responsibility for development of the curriculum and accreditation. As her interest in the governance and administration of universities grew, Lieke left LUC in 2021 for the University of Twente, where, as the Director of the Center of Educational Support, she is responsible for student and course administration, student support and scholarships, educational support and language courses.
