Where Sondra’s writing and publishing stuff is going great, but emotional upheaval is breaking out all over her face as she’s caught between fiction and reality; Alysia’s new book is being noticed in wonderful ways, and staying present is becoming a regular state of existence; and they’re both supporting and loving on each other.

Garion becomes aware of a deception before Silk does (WTF) and finds out it’s because he’s brighter than he looks. He becomes an unwilling servant to Ce’Nedra regardless of her abysmal lying ability, and has to deal with feeling jealous of Aunt Pol’s attentions to the girl.
