Today, PH and PG discuss lies that we sometimes tell ourselves and why. Proverbs 12:22 says,“Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: But they that deal truly are his delight.”

So then, why do we lie?

We lie in a misguided attempt to make ourselves or someone happy, to motivate oneself or build confidence, to keep someone from something we’ve done.  We lie to make things easier. We lie to escape consequences we don’t want to face. Underneath these lies is the fear that maybe we are not good enough.

It is therefore paramount to have your foundation is rooted in Christ Jesus and have your mind stayed on Him.
