Life After Extreme Loss
Loss can feel like an unbearable weight, leaving us breathless and broken. When someone we love is gone, the world seems to dim, and moving forward feels impossible. But even in the depths of grief, God remains near.
Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God does not expect us to carry our sorrow alone. He meets us in our pain, holding us when we cannot stand, whispering hope into our weary hearts.
Healing doesn't mean forgetting. It means allowing God to weave His comfort into our sorrow, turning our pain into purpose. In time, He will restore our joy—not by erasing our grief, but by reminding us that love never dies.
Each day, take one step at a time. Lean into His presence. Cry if you need to. Rest in His promises. And know that even in your loss, your story is not over. God still has plans for you, and He will carry you through.
Lord, in my deepest sorrow, be my comfort. Help me trust that You are near, even when my heart aches. Amen.
