In this episode of Life After the Impact, we welcomed Lurlean Hudson and Werlean Kittling to share their heartbreaking story following the tragic death of their brother, Derrick Kittling.

On November 6, 2022, Derrick, 45, was shot and killed during a traffic stop by a deputy in Rapides Parish. Video footage from the incident shows Derrick asking why he was pulled over, but the deputy did not respond. The stop was reportedly related to window tint and modified exhaust violations.

Despite the investigation by Louisiana State Police, District Attorney Phillip Terrell announced that this case, along with another recent shooting by law enforcement, will not be presented to a grand jury.
