On Life After the Impact on November 26th, 2024, we featured a LIVE conversation with Mandie Diaz, the mother of Jimmy Lopez, and his grandmother, Renee Hurley. On July 4, 2023, Jimmy, a 26-year-old father of two, was tragically killed by Hemet police officers after they responded to a report of a man with a gun. It was later confirmed that Jimmy was carrying an airsoft pistol, not a real firearm. Now, Mandie and Renee are fighting for justice and have filed a lawsuit against the police department.
