While baptism grants Christians spiritual life now, it also promises a future bodily resurrection. The Corinthians misbelieved that resurrection is solely a spiritual event. Paul teaches the importance of both present spiritual life and future bodily resurrection. The sermon concludes with a message of hope, emphasizing that death is not the end but a temporary separation, and that the best is yet to come for those who believe in Christ.
