In this episode I chat with professional flautist Clare Childs, all about her transition from music college into pursuing a music career - we talk about her 5 years playing with the Royal Northern Sinfonia, and why she then chose to pursue a freelance career and what that has looked like. Clare is also a mum of twins, so we chat about how she manages to juggle both being a parent and a freelance musician, and we also discuss a recent project that Clare has set up which is now giving help and support to people who are unwell, vulnerable or lonely during lockdown.
