Welcome back!  This week, David has control of the episode, as evidenced by the football themed episode.  This week, we talk about Alicia's decision to join the fantasy football league and how it means a lot to David that she is willing to do something he enjoys, even if she doesn't fully understand it.  Sometimes love is a sacrifice and sometimes you find that your spouse is surprisingly good at game they've never really played.

This week we get into detail about what its like to be us, David and Alicia.  We go pull back the curtain to expose our true nature; the inability to remember a password.  This episode, though funny, reveals some interesting thoughts about our abilities to function with an overload of information.  From forgetting passwords to receiving the verification codes and every other password problem in between, we dive deep into what same may consider to be a personality flaw.

This week we talk about what counts as a date?  What we consider a "date" may surprise you, as our definition of the word has changed over time. From grocery store getaways to riverwalk escapes, we discuss the important part of our dates and what makes us keep pursuing each other.

This week, David and Alicia talk about their preparation for the new school year to start.  They start with briefly reminiscing about the summer fun and the food the kids consumed while on break.

We're back again, we missed you all last week.  In the episode this week, we talk about the people around your table.  New friends, old friends and of course, family.  We talk about assigned seats at the table, favorite holiday foods and how important it is to ask questions that get people talking.

This week, we talk about the importance of showing up.  We share about our journey to realizing the importance of being present with the people around you.  David talks about the importance of being "interruptible" and how sometimes those small interruptions can be unforgettable moments.

Alicia talks about how the cost of being present is free and she's honest with the fact that she continues to learn and reflect on how she can improve on being present for the ones she loves. 

We discuss how Jesus made himself interruptible despite his disciples not always understanding.  The example that comes to mind is the woman in the crowd full of people who just reached up to touch the cloak of Jesus (Luke 8:43-48)

Ask yourself this question this week. Am I interruptible?  Because what if this interruption is actually the most important part of the day?

This week, we talk about the lessons our parent taught us by just living their life.  We can say with certainty that our parents lifestyle matched what they taught. 

Alicia talks about what the commitment to caring and compassion can do and how her parents taught her that through the animals they brought onto the farm.  David talks about the consistent patience both of his parents showed constantly through gardening and raising many kids in one house, which David now naturally portrays regularly (even if quicksand hasn't been the nemesis he thought he would need his patience for).
