Life Begins With Jesus -John 1-1-5---1. INTRODUCTION--a. Recap the six elements of the divine framework that God gave to Man to order his life on earth.---2. JESUS IS THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS -v1-3---a. Pre-existence of Jesus. v1a-b. Co-existence of Jesus with God the Father. v1b, 2-c. Deity of Jesus. v1c-d. Jesus is Creator. v3--Put our faith in Jesus and glorify Him as our Creator.--'By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.' Heb 11-3---3. JESUS IS THE GIVER OF ALL LIFE -v4a---a. Jesus is a living God.-b. Jesus is the source of all physical life.-i. All animate creation owes their life to Jesus.-ii. As a living being, Man is to live in the light of God-likeness.-iii. As Christians, we are to live in Christ-likeness. 1 Cor 15-49--Put on Jesus and glorify Him as our Lord.--'But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.' Rom 13-14---4. JESUS IS THE AUTHOR OF SPIRITUAL LIFE -v4b - 5---a. The shift from creation to salvation. v5-b. Jesus has no darkness. He reveals the moral darkness in Man. v4b-c. Jesus conquers darkness. He gives spiritual life to Man. v5a-d. The moral condition of mankind, the unconditional act of Jesus. v5b--Put Jesus on our lips and glorify Him as our Saviour.--'For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.
