  • What Not to Do: Assume You Know Other People's Pain

For years I went through infertility due to endometriosis. One of the hardest parts of this experience was people assuming they understood my pain and how to treat it.

My lesson/takeaway from this experience: Don't compare pain. People's experiences are unique and valid. And don't assume you know how to treat their pain. Ask. I talk all about this on the podcast. Join me and let me know in the comments how you with others would treat your pain.

  • How to Be a Mom and Live Your Creative Passioin

It's easy to get caught up in the momming/mom life and lose sight/focus of our passions and creative interests. But I believe it's important to embrace those interests and still find time for them because (1) Got gave you those talents and skills and wants you to use them, and (2) doing them will help you come back to momming with more energy and joy. Let's talk about this.

  • Drawing from Ayurveda's Tool Box - Interview with Justine Tregloan

I had the incredible opportunity to interview my amazing friend Justine Tregloan about her journey through studying Ayurveda and healing modalities. Her journey is beautiful, full of passion, and one that needs to be shared.

Justine Tregloan is a communications project manager by day and an Ayurveda lifestyle guide, Reiki healer, and yoga teacher outside of work. She's dedicated to making ancient wellness practices feel practical and accessible for modern living, especially for busy people navigating stress, overwhelm, and disconnection

In our conversation, we talked about using Ayurveda as a tool box to take what you need when you need it, some fundamental knowledge of Ayurveda (if you're new to the concept), and finding balance through this healing modality that uses nature as a guide.

You can follow Justine's work and everyday Ayurveda-inspired living on Instagram at @working_ayurveda.

  • The "But I'm Not Creative" Lie

Creativity is more than the arts. It's in how we live our lives, how we play, how we gather and increase in knowledge. Creativity is in the science and math skills, its in analytical and logical thinking, its in solving problems. It's in the arts, yes--dancing, drawing, writing, music.

You don't have to be perfect to be creative. You just need to create and have joy. You need to have curiosity and take action.

AND, more importantly, your ability and skill to be creative, comes from God. He created you to create.

  • How to Move on When Life Doesn't Go as Planned

I don't know that any part of my life has gone as planned. I've always been a dreamer, imagining what the future holds. And I've always been wrong.

But I've dealt with it. I've overcome, learned, accepted, and moved on.

In this episode of Life by Sara, I share a litte of what I pictured my life to be, yes, but more importantly, what I've learned as I've experienced change, pivioting, disapointment, and more. Life hasn't gone as planned, it still isn't, but I've happy with the journey and what it has brought me.

  • Love, Pretzels, and the Beginnings of a Most Adventurous Relationship

It started with a long car ride to Lake Powell and proceeded through a round of pretzels, a dance, and a disastrous trip to Bear Lake. There are a few lakes in this story.

This month is not only the month of Valentines lovelies but also my 14-year wedding anniversary with my best friend and partner in crime (life crime? chaos crime?), Scott Comte. Our relationship started out as friendship and we had no idea it would lead to more. But we are very happy it did.

  • How Yoga Actually Strengthens My Testimony in My Faith

In this episode I talk about my journey through yoga, why I love it, and how it pulls me closer to Jesus Christ. I talk theology of yoga and how it relates to the theology of my church.

I find so much beauty in all that yoga has to offer, especially in its ability to help the practitioner overcome the physical body to access the spiritual. I have had beautiful spiritual moments with my Heavenly Father after a good practice, and I have learned more about what I believe through my limited study of yoga philosophy.

Does yoga strengthen my testimony? Absolutely yes.
