In this episode I discuss 

  • the importance of looking back at how far you've come, why this is important, and how it can help you move forward.
  • Checking in with YOUR goals - because its so easy to suddenly end up chasing after a goal that isn't necessarily yours, and how this can improve your performance and keep you achieving the life YOU desire, not someone else's.
  • Running your own race, and realizing the importance of not comparing yourself. This is a lesson I feel I have to repeatedly learn - like it doesn't ever sink in, but its a good reminder as I think comparison-itis is a real disease that destroys most of our best efforts before they even get a chance to take root. 

Even if you think you know all these, its worth a revisit because I find that these lessons are some of the ones for me that I need constant reminders of. It's so easy to get swayed by other people, compare yourself, and diminish your efforts. In fact most of us do it before we've even begun the race. We start to compare ourselves with the others out there doing it. 
 

Its literally like comparing yourself to a marathon runner, when you are in week one of Coach to 5K!!!! Don't do it!!!
