From JJ Rousseau’s Emile I read about the goal-orientedness of most and how life passes one by as we’re always thinking of other things. Emile, his ideal student, even if he dies young, will live fully. I relate this to Dostoevsky’s relating of the idea of immortality as being fully in the present. LL relates this to a recent clip of Mike Tyson against Undying Glory.
(Sorry about the bad sound on my end. It’s been corrected in future episodes.)
