A recent story out of the U.K. shows just how tragic and misguided fear can become when it leads a mother to kill her own unborn child because she’s frightened about “climate change.”  

According to LifeNews, a 37-year-old woman, despite being happily married with two children, aborted her child after overwhelming anxiety about the future and “environmental fears” drove her decision. She later struggled with deep sadness and regret over ending her baby’s life. 

This heartbreaking case highlights how radical ideologies and panic can distort our view of human dignity and worth. Legal protections must be put in place to protect the life of every child. Anxiety about climate change is not a justification to kill a child.
