Life Issues - Twisting Scripture for Abortion

Recently abortion advocates, like US Senate candidate James Talarico, have made the news attempting to twist scripture in an effort to defend pro-abortion policies. 

What every Christian should know is that the Bible is clear. Abortion is immoral. 

  • In Luke 1:41 John the Baptist leapt in his mother’s womb when in the presence of Jesus. 
    • In Genesis 25:22 Jacob and his brother Esau wrestled in the womb. 
      • In Judges 13:7 it is declared that Samson would be a Nazirite even in the womb and certain dietary requirements were placed on his mom. 
        • In the 10 commandment we see “you shall not murder.”  

          • The Bible repeatedly establishes personhood in the womb.
