Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery — years later, he told them: "You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good." Job lost everything in a single day — and never received an explanation. His friends were certain his suffering was the result of hidden sin. Job insisted he'd done nothing to deserve it, and God agreed. But when God finally speaks (Job 38–41), He never answers the question Job actually asked.

The Philippians sent Paul practical help while he was under house arrest and in need.

But Paul described their gift in a surprising way:

How much is enough?

We often tell ourselves that if one more circumstance changed—more money, more security, one problem resolved, one uncertainty removed—then we could finally rest.

But Paul, writing from prison, says, “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am” (Philippians 4:11).

In this final episode of To Live Is Christ, we look at Philippians 4:11–13 and ask: How could Paul be content when his circumstances kept changing?

His answer was not self-sufficiency. It was Christ-sufficiency.

Need could not take Christ from him. Abundance could not add anything essential to Christ. Paul had learned to stop asking his circumstances whether he had enough.

Because when Christ is your life, circumstances can change without changing what matters most.
